William Irvine has taken over the post of acting chairperson.

We are a voluntary but professional group of home owners. The objectives of the Committee are to raise awareness with owners, improving the estate, promoting improved communication with Bellsmyre Housing Association and to represent the whole estate and act as an advocate for owners when required.

The committee liaise with other organisations and agencies relevant to the Bellsmyre estate including the West Dunbartonshire Council and the Police.

In the coming year we have plans to raise the profile of the Committee by contacting radio, newspapers, canvassing owners and asking for feedback from owners on how we move forward - both positive and constructive criticism are welcome to allow us to improve.

In 2017 the forum are planning to re assess our constitution and update where necessary. Arrange our second A.G.M. in September/October where we hope additional home owners will join the committee and assist the committee to improve home owners’ experiences of living in Bellsmyre. The committee is working with the housing association’s new management team to move forward and we are always open to involvement from all owners. Bellsmyre estate is made up of 45% of home owner and we need more owners to give us a voice in the area. The committee aspires that in the future there will be a representative from every street in the area on the committee. At present we are looking for members from:

• Bellsmyre Avenue • Broomhill Drive
• Auchenreoch Avenue • Howatshaws Road
• Merkins Avenue • Loaninghead Drive
• Stoneyflatt Road and Avenue • Whiteford Avenue
